It has a molecular weight of approximately 66kDa and is the most abundant protein in plasma, accounting for 50-60% of the total protein. The genetic similarity between crab eating macaques and humans is as high as 90-94%, and their albumin amino acid sequence shares 93% homology with human albumin. Their physiological functions are highly similar, making them an irreplaceable key reagent in preclinical drug development and non-human primate experiments.
