The pull-out adhesion tester can measure the adhesion of coatings on metals, paints, spray coatings, waterproof materials, adhesives, chrome plating, nickel plating, concrete, and other materials. The working principle of this instrument is to use a hydraulic system to detach a coating with a certain diameter on the surface of the tested substrate to measure the adhesion of the coating. The multifunctional digital display screen of the tester displays the size of the adhesion in MPa or KN units. Digital display provides intuitive and reliable experimental results. Different from the detection of grid cutting products, it reduces the error of human observation. Usage:
1. Prepare the spindle and use a grinding pad to polish the coating of the pre bonded spindle. Then, use a suitable solvent to clean the surface of the spindle and the measured coating of oil and other dirt, and wait for it to dry;
2. Open the two-component adhesive provided in the instrument and mix it in a 1:1 ratio (mix as much as you want). Spread it thinly and evenly on the bottom of the pulling ingot, press the ingot firmly onto the prepared test surface, apply pressure to squeeze out excess adhesive, and then wipe off the overflowing adhesive water. After the adhesive is fully cured (about 24 hours), prepare for adhesion testing (if necessary, use the provided cutting knife to cut around the ingot);
3. Pressure relief: Rotate the white protruding rotary plug on the right side of the instrument counterclockwise until it cannot be rotated, and keep the pressure handle pressed to the bottom. In this state, press the pull ring on the snap ring to the bottom to pull the snap ring. Put the snap ring on the spindle and pull it up to ensure that it is tightly fitted;
4. Press the switch button on the instrument display screen to turn on the power; Press the second button (which has a spindle graphic attached) again to select the size of the drawing spindle (10, 14, 20, 50 optional). The standard size of the spindle for general instrument configuration is 20mm, so when we switch to the size of 20, we can proceed to the next step - selecting the unit for instrument testing
5. There are two units to choose from for the instrument: MPa and KN. KN is a commonly used unit for force values, while we often use the strength value unit MPa. Press the KN/MPa key to convert the unit;
Note: The instrument does not have a confirm button. When selecting the unit or spindle size, as long as the unit or size displayed on the screen is what we need, it is sufficient.
6. Press the reset button again to reset the instrument to zero, rotate the rotating screw plug on the right clockwise to the bottom, and then slowly shake the handle (slowly cycle up and down). At this time, the reading on the display frequency is also slowly increasing. Gradually, we will feel some pressure. At this time, in order to obtain a more accurate result, we must carefully control the speed of the downward pressure (the slower the better). When we hear a "" sound, the pulling spindle will fall off from the coating, and the fixed reading on the display screen is the adhesion size of the coating;
Note: The evaluation of the adhesion level of a coating is generally based on the measurement results (i.e. the measured readings) and the detachment phenomenon at the bottom of the detachment spindle. Observing the detachment phenomenon in the test area will provide more information about the detachment and the adhesion and cohesion between different layers of the coating.
The standard configuration spindles are all flat spindles. For the detection of curved surfaces such as steel pipes, curved spindles can be equipped. If needed, please contact our unit for information.
