Dry three 300 * 300mm specimens at a temperature below 40 ± 2 ℃ to a constant weight (when the weight change of the specimens within 24 hours is less than 0.1%, it is considered constant weight), and cool them to room temperature for testing under non hygroscopic conditions.

1. Place the instrument on a horizontal platform and adjust the screws to observe the level so that the instrument is level.

2. During the experiment, first use a special caliper to scrape the sand in the sand box flat. After scraping in both vertical and horizontal directions, the sliding pointer will mark a concave line of 300300 on the sand surface. Align the specimen with the engraved line and place it flat on the sand surface. The specialized caliper is equipped with an adjustment plate. By loosening the screw, the relative height can be adjusted according to the thickness of the gypsum being measured to ensure that the steel ball reaches a height of either 50Omm or 1000mm above the top surface of the gypsum board.

3. The drop height of this instrument is adjustable, with two levels of height: 500mm and 1000mm. When testing 9mm thick gypsum boards, 500mm height is used. The small rod does not need to be pulled out, but attention must be paid to whether the pin is stuck in the groove at the end of the small rod (the small rod can be rotated and judged by hand feel). To conduct a 12mm board test, loosen the adjustment sleeve, pull out the small rod, and ensure that the red line on the small rod is aligned with the observation hole tip. After pulling out, insert the pin shaft into the hole, and note that the pin must be inserted into the slot at the end of the small rod. Tighten the adjustment sleeve and proceed with the impact test.

4. Place the magnetic seat switch in the open position once the magnetic circuit is closed, attract the steel ball, and then turn the magnetic seat switch to the closed position to allow the steel ball to fall freely. Measure the diameter of the pit after the impact of the gypsum board.
