Promo ® The 1000 particle size spectrometer is a light scattering aerosol spectrometer system used for particle size analysis and concentration determination, which can be equipped with any welas ® 1100 and 1200 sensors. These sensors can reliably measure concentrations ranging from<1 particle/cubic centimeter to 5 • 10 ^ 5 particles/cubic centimeter.

Using Promo ® The 1000 particle size spectrometer can reliably measure particles with a diameter of over 120 nm, as it is equipped with a special high-power xenon high-pressure lamp with high light intensity and directly integrates a photomultiplier in the aerosol sensor.

The advantage is that one device supports up to four measurement ranges:

• 0.12 µm – 3.5 µm(welas ® 1000 and Promo ® Additional range of 1000
• 0.2 µm – 10 µm
• 0.3 µm – 17 µm
• 0.6 µm – 40 µm。

Promo ® 1000 is renowned for having up to 128 size channels within each measurement range, with concentrations ranging from<1 particle/cubic centimeter to 5 • 10 ^ 5 particles/cubic centimeter.

Touching the display screen ensures user-friendly operation. It is easy to start measuring and can evaluate and display all data in real-time, such as the current numerical distribution and concentration, as well as 24 other statistical values. Capable of storing all input data with a maximum time resolution of 1 second. For data transmission, Promo ® It can also be integrated into the company network.

Promo ® Having standard interfaces, it can be controlled through process control systems or simple Labview programs.

Promo ® Measurement technology:

Promo ® Equipped with a new fast 20 MHz signal processing processor that can analyze the progress of each particle signal.

In this way, coincidence events on a single signal can be identified and corrected in light scattering measurement technology (according to the theory of Dr. Umhauer/Professor Sachweh). This can increase the maximum concentration limit to 5 • 10 ^ 5 particles per cubic centimeter.

In addition, the new signal detection electronics, including a powerful logarithmic A/D converter, allow for the measurement of 120 nm particles with a counting efficiency of 50%.

High classification accuracy, high resolution, and high counting efficiency are prerequisites for accurate particle measurement.

Promo ® 1000 sensors:

welas ® The characteristics of the 1100 and 1200 aerosol sensors are the powerful light source and photomultiplier tube directly integrated into the sensor. This technology can provide excellent size resolution, excellent classification accuracy, and lower detection limits.

The measurement of volume size is crucial for non overlapping particle size and particle count measurements.

If measurements are taken simultaneously, the diameter measured will be too large and the quantity too small. In theory, for non overlapping measurements, where there is at most one particle in the measurement volume, the expansion of the measurement volume should not exceed 1 cubic millimeter when the concentration is 10 ^ 3 particles per cubic centimeter.
