The discharge port, diameter, and hole structure of the clamp used for the blasting test of the explosive disc should be the same as those of the actual clamp used.
The pressure medium used for the blasting test of the bursting disc should be as similar as possible to the phase of the actual medium used for the bursting disc. The test medium should comply with the following regulations:
(1) Liquid medium: Oil, water, or other non corrosive liquids can be used;
(2) Gaseous medium: Air, nitrogen or other inert gases can be used
What is the issue of selecting bursting disc pressure?
The blasting pressure of the bursting disc should be greater than the normal working pressure and less than or equal to the design pressure of the protected equipment. The choice of bursting disc pressure is related to the service life of the bursting disc and the safety of the protected equipment. If the pressure is too low, the bursting disc will detonate and release pressure in advance or the service time will be greatly shortened. If the bursting pressure is too high, it will affect the protected equipment. The design blasting pressure of flat type blasting discs is generally twice the operating pressure plus the allowable deviation, while the anti arch type is generally 1.1 times and the graphite type is 1.25 times. The pressure chosen in this situation can ensure that the bursting disc performs better, fully protecting the equipment while extending the service life of the bursting disc.

The temperature measurement for the blasting test of the bursting disc should meet the following requirements:
(1) The temperature measurement of the blasting test can be carried out using glass liquid thermometers or thermocouples, or other temperature measuring instruments, and should be within the effective calibration period;
(2) Temperature measuring instruments should avoid the influence of external heat transfer. The resolution of temperature measuring instruments should not be lower than 1.0 ℃;
(3) When measuring the blasting temperature, the assembled blasting disc device should be immersed in a liquid hot (cold) carrier, or placed in an oven (or cold box) or heating furnace for heating (or cooling). After the temperature stabilizes, the pressure should be increased until the blasting occurs. At this time, the temperature of the hot (cold) carrier measured is the blasting temperature;
(4) The temperature measurement of pressure medium should pay attention to the uniformity of temperature throughout the medium;
(5) The blasting test should be conducted at the designed blasting temperature. The test conditions should be determined through consultation between the manufacturing unit and the user unit or the design unit of the protected pressure equipment, and should be as close as possible to the actual usage conditions of the bursting disc. When the test results at room temperature can ensure the blasting performance at the designed blasting temperature, it can be conducted at room temperature, which should be controlled within the range of 15 ℃~30 ℃;
(6) When conducting high (low) temperature blasting tests, the rate of temperature rise (fall) should be slow. After reaching the design blasting temperature, it should be insulated for at least 10 minutes to ensure uniform temperature of the blasting disc wall. The temperature deviation of the test medium should be controlled within ± 10 ℃.
