Hydrophilic chromatography column selected for the 2010 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia
The Venusil MP C18 chromatographic column is specifically designed for analyzing hydrophilic compounds. Due to its double-layer treatment technology on the surface of silica gel, an additional layer of protection is added to the silica gel surface, thereby reducing its surface activity and achieving more uniform bonding, making it more suitable for the determination of water-soluble compounds. The Venusil MP C18 column has become a leader in chromatographic analysis due to its excellent quality, good reproducibility and tolerability, as well as specific selectivity for strongly polar compounds. The 2009 European Pharmacopoeia included Venusil MP C18 column in the pharmacopoeia method and applied it to the detection of prednisolone. The main component prednisolone was successfully separated from the other three impurities, fully meeting the quality control requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia for prednisolone raw materials and preparations.
