Pre loaded reagent of total phosphate, in acidic medium, orthophosphate and molybdate react to form phosphomolybdic acid in the presence of antimony salt, which is immediately reduced to form a blue complex. The depth of blue is proportional to the phosphate content, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 880m. This prefabricated reagent product is suitable for rapid determination of orthophosphate in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, and industrial wastewater. For undiluted water samples, the lower limit of orthophosphate determination is 0.06mg/L, and the upper limit of determination is 3.50mg/L.

In an acidic medium, orthophosphate and molybdate react to form a mixed phosphate/molybdate complex. In the presence of vanadium, a yellow phosphomolybdic acid is generated, and the intensity of the yellow color is proportional to the phosphorus content. The absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 420m.
