service life

Piezoelectric actuators are all ceramic insulated. This can protect them from the impact of faults caused by increased humidity and leakage current. The service life of the actuator is ten times that of traditional polymer insulated actuators. proved1000There hasn't been a single malfunction in a hundred million cycles.

Zero gap flexible guide rail has high guiding accuracy

Flexible guide rails require no maintenance, friction, or wear, and do not require lubrication. Their stiffness allows for high load capacity and is insensitive to impact and vibration. They operate within a wide temperature range.

Can be paired with new modelsMEMSProbe.

These new typesMEMSProbes have greater elasticity and thermal stability due to their more robust components and new geometric shapes, similar to those introduced last year0.025N/mProbe. Furthermore, they enable us to96Miniaturization measurement of probes within a microplate. new-typeMEMSThe stiffness of the probes are0.25±0.07and3.5±0.7 N/mThe radius isR=3、10、25The50μmof0.25and3.5 N/mThe probe will replace the current one0.5 N/mand5 N/mRibbon cantilever probe.

Due to the larger gap between the fiber and the cantilever, wavelength scanning has more stripes. We suggest increasing the laser power to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.

MEMSThe calibration of the probe should be carried out on a polytetrafluoroethylene substrate, especially when measuring in air due to the presence of electrostatic forces.TeflonThe substrate will be sent together with the probe. Due to changes in the resonant frequency of the cantilever, the surface program during the open-loop stage (step rather than continuous motion) may exhibit vibrations on the cantilever. If the system stops searching for surface programs too early, reduce the step size or increase the sensitivity (threshold). If using closed-loop indentation (indentation)-If the deformation rate (indentation speed) or maximum indentation depth or load does not change, then the closed-loop operation measurement does not depend on the probe stiffness. If open-loop indentation (displacement control) is used, the sample will be measured at a lower deformation rate (indentation speed) and with a probe that uses the same displacement profile but is harder(0.5and5 N/m)Compared to using0.25and3.5 N/mThe probe will reach a lower indentation depth or load. You can adjust the displacement profile accordingly by increasing the piezoelectric velocity and displacement.

Laser power adjustment

MEMSThe larger cavity results in lower signal intensity. To increase the signal-to-noise ratio, the laser power can be increased. You can add it to25.12 mWThe maximum laser power. Then, continue with the normal calibration procedure. Therefore, you will see that the gain setting after wavelength scanning is lower than the gain setting when using the minimum laser power. If the measurement is conducted in air, reduce the laser power from maximum power to lower power, as the signal strength in air is much higher and maximum laser power may cause signal saturation, resulting in flat lines after wavelength scanning.

Key points for use

When measuring in liquids such as water or culture medium, you can divide the value given on the probe box by the refractive index of the culture medium (e.gn=1.33)To verify your calibration geometry factor. If geometric factors do not meet expectations:

-During the calibration process, check if the probe is in contact with the substrate.

-Using isopropanol(1-2Milliliters, continuous0.5-1Clean the probe and substrate in minutes, then rinse with water to remove any residue.

-After calibration, the substrate is placed at the same distance as the calibration (usually3000 nm)Check the demodulation circle and the overlap between the piezoelectric and cantilever signals by indentation at the contact point.
