fineThe cellular electrical stimulation system is designed for various physiological electrical stimulation needs. Conventional six well plates can be directly used for cell electrical stimulation experiments. Six synchronous output channels that can switch between constant current and constant voltage modes. Different parameter settings can be made for multiple sample wells.
Direct current stimulation has the ability to promote cell growth and guide cell orientation. By electrically stimulating organizational cells, the permeability of excitable cells to sodium or calcium ions can be altered, resulting in action potentials that alter the internal environment and ultimately change the state of the cells. When direct current stimulation is applied to tissue cells, various physical and chemical changes occur, leading to changes in the internal environment of the tissue cells.

Introduction to Cell Electrical Stimulation Equipment (Voltage Model)
The cell electrical stimulation device is divided into two parts (as shown in Figure 1-1): the control box and the culture chamber. cultivate
Six well culture dishes can be placed in the chamber for cell culture.

Figure 1-1 Electrical Stimulation Equipment
The device controller can control two voltage channels (CHANNEL-A and CHANNEL-B)
There are six switches on the right side of the cultivation chamber that can be used to control whether the voltage channel is applied to the chamber. among which
CHANNEL-A controls chambers 1-3 (CH1, CH2, CH3), while CHANNEL-B controls chambers 4-6
Chambers (CH4, CH5, CH6). The equipment control logic diagram and physical diagram are shown in Figures 1-2 and 1-3:

Attention: After the user sets the channel output, be sure to turn on the switch of the corresponding culture chamber, otherwise it will
There is no voltage output.
1.2 Main interface of cell electrical stimulation device
After the electrical stimulation device is powered on, it will directly enter the main interface, as shown in Figure 1-4.
Figure 1-4 Main interface of electrical stimulation equipment
The left side of the main interface is mainly responsible for displaying program operation information, including voltage visualization curves (VOLTAGE)
Visual Information and Program Information. Responsible for entering on the right side
Program parameter settings. The running time setting of the output channel is shown on the right side of Figure 1-4. Click the bottom right corner
The "<<Setting" button will pop up the voltage control parameter setting tab (as shown in Figure 1-5), click on the option
The ">>" button in the bottom right corner of the card can collapse the tab. Static voltage can be applied inside
And the setting of oscillation voltage parameters. The tab can be switched to a channel by clicking the bottom button
Change.

The information of channel A in the main interface is marked in red, while the information of channel B is marked in blue
Row annotation. Therefore, when using devices for parameter settings, color can be used to confirm the currently set parameters
Is it the necessary channel.
1.3 Static voltage output
Static voltage output is divided into three steps:
1. Set the output voltage.
2. Set output time.
3. Activate channel output.
Taking channel A as an example, assuming the user needs to output a static voltage of 10V for a duration of one hour. first
First, you need to click the "<<Setting" button to open the device parameter setting interface, and select the "CHANNEL-A" option
Set the output voltage in the "MATIC" column of the card. It should be noted that the input field parameters are in mV
As a unit, the required input value is "10000". The input results are shown in Figure 1-6.

Figure 1-6 Schematic diagram of static voltage input
After completing the input, click the ">>" button in the bottom right corner to close the parameter input interface and return to the main interface.
After setting the voltage parameters, enter the time parameters in the "CHANNEL A" column of the main interface, and
Click the 'Start' button, and the program will start executing. After the program starts running, relevant information will be displayed on the interface
Hint, its meaning is as follows:

Figure 1-7 Schematic diagram of the running status of the static voltage output program for channel A
① Running status display, with a red background and the word "RUN" displayed when the program is running.
② Run program indicator tag. When outputting static voltage, it will display 'Static Voltage'.
③ Current running time display, used to show the time the current channel program has been running.
④ : Program start button.
⑤ Program stop button.
During program execution, both the curve and output voltage will be displayed on the left side simultaneously, as shown in the following figure:

1.4 Oscillatory voltage output
The steps of oscillating voltage output and static voltage output are basically the same and can be divided into three steps:
1. Set the output voltage.
2. Set output time.
3. Activate channel output.
Taking channel B as an example, assuming the user needs to output a 5V oscillating voltage with a frequency of 5Hz and a duration of
For one hour. Firstly, you need to click the "<<Setting" button to open the device parameter setting interface
Click the "Enable" checkbox on the right side of the "Oscillation" column in the "CHANNEL-B" tab to enable
After enabling the oscillation mode of channel B, the program will automatically unlock the permission for the relevant parameter input box (as shown in Figure 1-9).

Figure 1-9 Schematic diagram of oscillation voltage enable result
The oscillation mode parameters are divided into three parts:
1. Voltage (mV): Output voltage, unit:.
2. Frequency (Hz): oscillation frequency.
3. Duty (%): Output duty cycle.
For the requirement of an output voltage of 5V and a frequency of 5Hz, fill in 5000 in the Voltage column and enter Frequency
Fill in 5 in one column (as shown in Figure 1-10). The duty cycle generally does not need to be modified and defaults to 50%. This parameter
This will be explained in section 1.4.1 below.

Figure 1-10 Schematic diagram of completed input of oscillation parameters for channel B
After completing the parameter settings, click the ">>" button to return to the main interface and enter in the "CHANNEL B" column
Enter the time parameter and click the "Start" button, and the program will start executing. During program execution, the display is as shown in the figure
As shown in Figure 1-11:

Figure 1-11 Schematic diagram of the operation status of the oscillation voltage output program for channel B
The displayed information is basically the same as the static output mentioned earlier, with the difference being the running program in the top center
The indicator label displays "Oscillation", indicating that the current output is in oscillation mode.
During the running of the program, the program information bar on the left will also display relevant information, and will
The voltage curve displays an oscillating waveform, as shown in Figure 1-12:

Figure 1-12 Channel B oscillation mode program information bar display
1.4.1 Explanation and use of duty cycle parameters
As mentioned earlier, there is a duty cycle parameter that needs to be set in oscillation mode. Duty cycle refers to
The proportion of power on time to total time within one oscillation cycle is shown in Figure 1-13:

Figure 1-13 Schematic diagram of duty cycle parameters
Assuming the oscillation period is T and the power on time within one cycle is t, the calculation method for duty cycle is as follows:

The duty cycle is a proportional parameter, and different duty cycles represent different lengths of power on time within a cycle,
The waveform comparison diagrams for 20%, 50%, and 80% duty cycles are shown in Figure 1-14:

Figure 1-14 Schematic diagram of output waveforms with different duty cycles
The duty cycle is 50%, so the default value on the device is 50%.
1.5 Precautions for Equipment Use
1.5.1 There is a difference between the image curve in the article and the actual equipment curve
The actual curve display may have slight differences from the images in the text, which is due to the programming design of the upper and lower computers
Abnormal, does not affect normal use, as long as there is oscillation waveform or static waveform display.
1.5.2 Precautions for parameter modification during program operation
During program execution, if parameter modification is required, you need to first click on the "Stop" button for the corresponding channel
Button to stop channel output, then click the "Start" button to reopen channel output.
Because the parameters on the interface are not read during program execution, only during program startup
Only then will the interface parameters be imported. So if parameters are directly modified during program execution, it is not feasible
It will take effect directly. Be sure to pause the channel output first and then restart the output of the corresponding channel.
