The new VEGAPULS 69 has greatly advanced the goal of developing a versatile radar based level instrument for solid material measurement. The working frequency of the level measuring instrument is 80 GHz. It can significantly improve the focusing ability of the transmitted signal. In containers and silos with many internal mounting components, good focusing ability helps significantly reduce the impact of interference signals.

Better focusing ability

Due to the large dynamic range of the new VEGAPULS 69, reaching 120 dB, even the smallest reflections can be measured. By adopting this high-quality new technology, it is possible to measure media with poor reflectivity, such as plastic powder, fly ash, or dry wood powder. Due to the ability to measure increasingly small reflected signals, media such as polystyrene resin spheres or micro silica gel can also be measured.

Larger measurement range
With excellent focusing ability and high dynamic range, VEGAPULS 69 can measure solid media with poor reflectivity, with a range of up to 120 meters. In addition, the instrument can work so well within the smallest measurement range. The new VEGAPULS 69 has a cycle time of less than 1 second and an accuracy of+/-5 mm.
