Scope of application: This laboratory uses a specialized digital horizontal rotary oscillator for syphilis non-specific antibody detection (TRUST/RPR)

1. Purpose

Standardize the operation, use, maintenance, and upkeep of the digital syphilis rotary oscillator to ensure uniform and stable test conditions, and to guarantee accurate, reliable, and traceable results of syphilis serological agglutination tests.

2. Scope of application

Applicable to the entire process of using a digital syphilis rotary oscillator for TRUST, RPR and other non-specific syphilis antibody detection by all testing personnel in this laboratory.

3. Responsibilities

3.1 Operator: Strictly follow this SOP to complete instrument operation, recording, and daily cleaning.

3.2 Department Head/Quality Manager: Supervise the implementation of SOP, review instrument usage and maintenance records.

3.3 Equipment administrator: responsible for regular calibration of instruments, fault reporting, and file management.

5. Preparation before operation

5.1 Environmental Inspection

The instrument is placed on a stable and horizontal experimental table, with no debris, no standing water, and no interference sources around it.

5.2 Instrument Inspection

Check that the power cord is securely connected, the casing is not damaged, the control panel displays normally, the tray is not loose, and the protective cover is intact. Start up and run for 30 seconds without load, confirm that there is no abnormal noise or severe shaking.

5.3 Item Preparation

• Serum sample to be tested (centrifuged, no hemolysis, no lipid blood, no clots)

TRUST/RPR kit (antigen equilibration to room temperature)

Specialized reaction plate, micro sampler, suction head

• Timer, record sheet, biosafety protective equipment

5.4 Quality Control Requirements

Positive and negative controls must be set up synchronously for each batch of testing, and only after passing the quality control can the results be interpreted.
