Lloyd's Instruments Limited in the UKThe Davenport PETPlus melt viscometer conducts safe PET intrinsic viscosity (IV) and melt viscosity (MV) tests using a non solvent method. It can be controlled independently or combined with the powerful NEXYGEN Plus PET data analysis software package.

Currently, most experimental equipment is tested using solvent methodIV value and MV value. However, this method is not only expensive, but also requires careful use and handling of toxic solvents. In contrast, using non solvent PETPlus is not only beneficial for environmental protection, but also saves the high cost of purchasing and handling solvents.

Unlike other viscosity meters,PETPlus covers almost all stages of the manufacturing process: from adding resin, powder, particle drying, polymer melting, forming, and even recycling raw materials.

Testing can be done onComplete within 20 minutes. Rapid testing at different stages can be controlled using auxiliary equipment to prepare samples. The compact structure of the instrument occupies less table space than previous models, making sample loading more convenient and efficient.

Single machine systems controlled by microprocessors support high-precision measurement and temperature control with precision up to± 0.1 ℃, storing up to 600 test results. Backlit LCD display multilingual support test and its results. Communicate with the computer through RS-232 interface to achieve fully automatic software control and/or result download.

The PET melt passes through a calibrated die under a certain nitrogen pressure, and the host records and displays the movement of the LVDT probe at various time points. The system measures the optimal flow rate and calculates the intrinsic viscosity. In addition, PETPlus also tests the degradation coefficient and provides a batch average and standard deviation.
