Parker piston pump is an industrial hydraulic pump developed and produced by Parker Hannifin Company, which is divided into two structural types: inclined disc and inclined shaft. This pump uses the reciprocating motion of the plunger in the pump chamber to generate a pressure difference and transport liquid. The working pressure can reach over 10000 psi, and it has the characteristics of high pressure output, convenient flow regulation, and high volumetric efficiency. It is mainly used in engineering machinery, hydraulic steering systems, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and other fields. Its core components include plunger coupling, sliding shoe assembly, and distribution plate, designed with bimetallic plates and steel friction pairs to improve durability.

Working Principle:

Piston pumps are generally divided into single piston pumps, horizontal piston pumps, axial piston pumps, and radial piston pumps. The structure of a single plunger pump mainly includes an eccentric wheel, a plunger, a spring, a cylinder body, and two one-way valves. A sealed volume is formed between the plunger and the cylinder body hole. When the eccentric wheel rotates once, the plunger reciprocates up and down once. It moves downwards to suck oil and upwards to discharge oil. A horizontal plunger pump is composed of several plungers installed in parallel, which are driven back and forth by a crankshaft through a connecting rod slider or by an eccentric shaft to achieve liquid suction and discharge.

Axial piston pump is a piston pump in which the reciprocating motion direction of the piston or plunger is parallel to the central axis of the cylinder body. It operates by utilizing the volume change generated by the reciprocating motion of the plunger parallel to the transmission shaft in the plunger hole. The drive shaft of the inclined disc axial piston pump drives the cylinder body to rotate, and the plunger is tightly attached to the surface of the inclined disc under the action of the return spring or centrifugal force. When the plunger rotates to the lower side of the inclined disc with the cylinder body, it extends outward, the volume of the sealed chamber increases, the pressure decreases, and the oil suction window of the distribution plate is connected to the plunger hole, and the oil is sucked in. When the plunger rotates to the upper side of the inclined plate, it is pushed back into the cylinder bore, reducing the volume of the sealed chamber, compressing the oil, and increasing the pressure. The pressure window of the distribution plate is connected to the plunger hole, and high-pressure oil is discharged. The axial piston pump with sliding shoe structure is currently widely used. The plunger placed in the cylinder body contacts the inclined plate through the sliding shoe. When the transmission shaft drives the cylinder body to rotate, the inclined plate pulls out or pushes back the plunger from the cylinder body, completing the oil suction and discharge process.

The cylinder body of the inclined shaft axial piston pump is at a certain angle to the transmission shaft, and the plunger is connected to the flange on the transmission shaft through a connecting rod. The cylinder body rotates to drive the plunger to reciprocate, and its oil suction and discharge principle is similar to that of the inclined disc. The inclined disc and inclined shaft structures of axial piston pumps are both used in industry. Partial axial piston pumps adopt a through shaft transmission structure, which can be installed in series with a single pump or multiple pumps, as a slant disc variable mechanism for open circuits.
