Principle of piezoresistive (strain gauge)

Utilizing the piezoresistive effect: When pressure is applied to a sensitive chip (usually a monocrystalline silicon or stainless steel elastic diaphragm), the diaphragm undergoes slight deformation, causing a change in the resistance value of the strain resistor in the Wheatstone bridge attached to it.

After the bridge is unbalanced, it outputs a millivolt level voltage signal proportional to the pressure, which is then amplified, temperature compensated, and signal conditioned to output a standard signal (such as 4-20mA, 0-10V).

Widely used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, it has high precision and good linearity.

Capacitive principle
