Oxygen/Nitrogen/Hydrogen Analyzer
EMGA-ProStandard model with outstanding high-speed analysis and high availability performance
Significantly improve accuracy and usability, optimize the detection process
The characteristics and properties of metals and solid materials (including steel, various non-ferrous metals, ceramics, and electronic materials) depend on the content of oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. In the research and performance analysis of materials, the requirements for high accuracy in element content detection and small sample size for analysis have become increasingly important. EMGA seriesOxygen/Nitrogen/Hydrogen AnalyzerSignificantly reduced analysis time and cost, while improving analysis accuracy and critical equipment performance. The EMGA series also pursues usability and strongly supports improving the efficiency of material research and quality control.
The model EMGA-20P+H is not sold in the Americas. For more information, please contact us.
Summary:
Place the sample in a graphite crucible, keeping the crucible between the upper and lower electrodes of the pulse furnace. A high current passes through the crucible to generate high temperature.
The oxide (oxygen element) in the sample reacts with the graphite crucible and is released in the form of carbon monoxide (CO), which is extracted together with the carrier gas. The extracted gas is directly analyzed after dust removal. According to the different concentrations of oxygen in the sample, the actual detection is to use non dispersive infrared detection technology to determine the content of oxygen elements by measuring CO or CO2 (CO gas generated after passing through an oxidant (copper oxide)).
The hydrogen in the sample is extracted in the form of hydrogen gas during the heating process of the pulse furnace, and then oxidized into gaseous H2O by an oxidant (copper oxide). The content of hydrogen element is determined by a non dispersive infrared detector.

After heating the nitrogen in the medium, nitrogen gas (N2) is generated, which is extracted with the carrier gas and measured by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD).

Equipped with various navigation functions
HORIBA fully utilizes its over 40 years of accumulated experience to provide customers with comprehensive real-time support from analysis, maintenance to troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of analytical equipment, improving detection efficiency, and reducing work time.
Rich selection lineup
In addition to the automatic sampler, automatic cleaning device, and crucible automatic loading system (all developed to meet customer needs), the fully automatic analysis system comprehensively improves the automation of the detection process, reduces the workload of analysis, and achieves stable analysis. We also offer more optional units based on various applications or samples, such as halogen traps.
HORIBA's proprietary sequence algorithm significantly shortens the entire process analysis time**Patent applied for

HORIBAdetector
The EMGA series features NDIR gas detectors developed, designed, and manufactured by HORIBA itself. Based on detailed design and advanced production technology, all manufacturing processes of these detectors are closely monitored, from polishing and assembly of components to adjustment and confirmation of stable operation. Our comprehensive quality control provides long-term stable and highly reliable detection performance for the EMGA series. In addition, HORIBA has independently developed TCD detectors to ensure that these analyzers can demonstrate their optimal performance.

Adopting a completely new construction environment=Reduce consumption
Easy to maintain lower electrode* *Patent applied for
The maintenance of the brand new lower electrode only involves removing the electrode cover and replacing the lower electrode, reducing the maintenance time to 1/10 of the original.
Dust filter*
The newly designed dust filtration device only requires replacing the filter membrane in the filter for maintenance, and the replacement frequency has been reduced to 1/10 of the original (with a replacement cycle of up to 500 sample tests).

Significantly reduce the consumption of carrier gas*
For the commonly used 47 liter gas cylinder, the number of measurements that can be taken per cylinder has significantly increased from approximately 1400 to 2300.
The unique application software of the EMGA series includes HORIBA's decades long accumulated analysis skills - "Analysis Navigation", which can provide the best measurement conditions and operating procedures based on the information of the measured sample; 'Maintenance navigation' can guide maintenance operations in a video format; The 'Fault Analysis Navigation' can indicate the methods and specific operations for troubleshooting.
1. Analyze navigation
2. Maintain navigation
Provide clear maintenance methods for maintaining navigation, guide users to complete maintenance work projects according to standard procedures, and instruct specific maintenance operations through video to ensure safe and complete maintenance work, reduce differences in maintenance work between individuals, and contribute to the stable operation of the analyzer.
Maintain navigation interface
Maintain interface
Users can perform all maintenance operations, including solenoid valve operation and leakage inspection.
Maintain the counting interface
Display the maintenance cycle count limit and current value for each maintenance project. If the set maintenance cycle count limit is reached, a prompt alarm will be given indicating that the corresponding project needs maintenance.
3. Fault analysis navigation
When a fault occurs, the currently displayed alarm screen will simultaneously indicate the best troubleshooting method and explain how to troubleshoot and restore the equipment through images and videos. The steps and methods for troubleshooting are provided in real-time online, which will shorten the downtime of the instrument.

Rich customization options
The EMGA series has many functions required for automated testing, saving manpower in testing work and ensuring safety.
The crucible loading device can automatically add new crucibles to the furnace, the automatic cleaning device can automatically remove waste crucibles and clean the electrode furnace, the automatic sampler can achieve automatic sampling, and coupled with a fully automatic analysis system, the EMGA analysis equipment realizes a comprehensive automated detection process while ensuring a clean and safe detection environment. In addition, by optimizing the detection program, the detection operation has been greatly simplified. The operator only needs to input the sample and enter the preset values (measurement conditions and sample name), and then press the start button.
