Outdoor thin steel structure fireproof coating is a fireproof material used to protect steel structures. The following is its introduction:

-Composition: Generally composed of inorganic adhesive, high-efficiency flame retardant, lightweight insulation material, inorganic polymer material, filler, and additives.

-Fire prevention mechanism: It contains an expansion flame retardant system, which triggers the decomposition of the expansion agent in the coating at high temperatures during a fire, producing a large amount of non combustible gas. The gas pushes the coating to form a sponge like porous expansion carbon layer, which has low density and low thermal conductivity, and can effectively block the transmission of flames and high temperatures to the substrate.

-Performance characteristics: It has the characteristics of thin coating, smooth surface, and good decorative effect. The color is white and can be adjusted to any color. Its bonding strength is relatively high, usually ≥ 0.15Mpa, the surface drying time generally does not exceed 4h, and the fire resistance limit can reach 0.5h-2.5h.

-Scope of application: Suitable for steel structural components such as columns, beams, etc. that support single layers in building design fire resistance level one, as well as columns, beams, etc. that support single and multiple layers in fire resistance levels two to four. Widely used for fire protection of indoor steel structures and building grids in buildings and structures, such as indoor steel structure engineering in aerospace, petroleum, chemical and other industries.

-Construction method: Construction should be carried out after the acceptance of the steel structure project, and the surface of the steel structure should be cleaned and rust removed first. Brush coating or spray coating can be used for construction. Before use, the coating should be stirred evenly. If the coating is slightly thick, it can be diluted with water. The thickness of the spray coating should cover the surface of the base layer, generally not exceeding 1mm. The next coating can only be carried out after the previous coating is dry.
