1、 Definition

Outdoor expansion type steel structure fireproof coating is a fireproof coating made of synthetic resin as the base material, combined with flame retardant, foaming and other components. The coating thickness is usually 2-7mm. Under high temperature in fire, the coating will rapidly expand and foam, forming a dense porous insulation carbonization layer, blocking heat transfer, and achieving fire protection for outdoor steel structures.

II. Classification

Belonging to the expansion type steel structure fireproof coating, it can be divided into four levels according to the fire resistance limit: 0.5h, 1.0h, 1.5h, and 2.0h; According to the coating thickness, it can be divided into two types: thin coating type (2-4.5mm) and ultra-thin type (≤ 2mm), which are suitable for outdoor steel components with different fire resistance requirements.

1. Special fire prevention mechanism: The carbonized layer formed by fire expansion has good thermal insulation effect, which can block the heating of steel structures in a short time. The coating is thin and light in weight, and has little impact on the load of steel structures.

2. Outstanding weather resistance: water resistant, ultraviolet resistant and anti-aging additives are added to resist outdoor harsh environments such as sunshine and rain, alternating heat and cold, salt spray erosion, and the coating is not easy to pulverize, peel and discolor.

3. Good decorative properties: The coating is flat and smooth, can be mixed with multiple colors, and has both fireproof and decorative functions, without the need for additional topcoat.

4. Convenient construction: Spraying, brushing, roller coating and other processes can be used for construction, with fast drying and curing speed, suitable for large-area outdoor steel structure coating.

Suitable for steel structures with high outdoor decorative requirements and moderate fire resistance requirements, such as outdoor steel structure billboards, sightseeing platform steel components, sports stadium grandstand steel brackets, lightweight factory outdoor steel columns and beams, etc.
