Reference materials (standard samples) are materials or substances with one or more sufficiently uniform and well determined characteristic values, widely used in laboratories for verifying and calibrating measuring instruments, evaluating analytical testing methods, transmitting or tracing values, assessing the technical level of operators, and monitoring measurement processes. Standard substances play a very important role in ensuring product quality, promoting the development of inspection technology, eliminating technical barriers in international trade, and reducing duplicate inspections between trading parties.
