Overview
The light emitted by the mercury lamp light source, after passing through the filter aperture, becomes a fixed size narrowband monochromatic light. This beam of light is irradiated on the photoelectric tube to generate a current, and finally the generated current is detected by a micro current amplifier to study the relationship between the illumination wavelength, aperture size, and light intensity, and to verify Einstein's theory of photoelectric effect.
Product Details

1、 Experimental principle

When light shines on an object, only part of the energy of the light is absorbed by the object in the form of heat, while the other part is converted into the energy of certain electrons in the object, causing these electrons to escape the surface of the object. This phenomenon is called the photoelectric effect. In the phenomenon of photoelectric effect, light exhibits its particle nature, so in-depth observation of the photoelectric effect phenomenon is of great significance for understanding the nature of light.

2、 Experimental content

1. Understand the basic laws of photoelectric effect and verify the photoelectric effect equation

2. Measure Planck constant h

3. Study the photoelectric characteristics of phototubes

4. Study the volt ampere characteristics of phototubes

3、 Specification parameters

1. Measurement error of Planck constant: ≤ 3%

2. Mercury lamp: characteristic spectral line range 365.0nm, 404.7nm, 435.8nm, 546.1nm, 577.0nm
