The oil quality sensor introduces a very high-frequency AC voltage into the oil sample and precisely measures the energy storage capacity (capacitance) and conductivity (conductivity) of the oil sample. When the oil product is used for a longer period of time and/or the degree of pollution deepens, the polarity factor of the oil variety will significantly increase. By combining these measurement factors (methods), we can evaluate how much change has occurred in the decrease of oil product quality.

1.Oil quality sensorDesign Principles

2.Detection principle:

The Tan Delta oil detection probe is based on the changes in the dielectric properties of the oil, and the application technology of the oil sensor is based on the factor of dielectric loss. This technology greatly improves the sensitivity of indicating the quality of the oil compared to ordinary methods that only use a known dielectric constant for detection. For the vast majority of oil products, if pollution occurs, the attenuation factor can vary from 0.005 (new oil) to 0.1, with a change ratio of 20:1. Compared to the traditional fixed dielectric constant detection method, the Tan Delta oil monitoring method has a variation ratio of 0.8:1 (usually ranging from 2.3 to 2.9), and its sensitivity has significantly increased by tens of times.
