intended use

Nipah virus antigen detection reagent (colloidal gold method) is a rapid qualitative detection tool based on immunochromatography technology, which achieves rapid screening of virus antigens in samples through the binding reaction of specific antibodies with Nipah virus (NiV) antigens. Suitable for on-site testing of human serum, plasma, whole blood and other samples to assist in the diagnosis of Nipah virus infection, but the results need to be comprehensively judged based on clinical symptoms and other testing methods.

What is Nipah virus?

Nipah virus is a new type of zoonotic virus. Nipah virus disease (NVD) is another zoonotic disease that has aroused widespread concern and panic around the world after the British mad cow disease, foot and mouth disease in Taiwan, China Province, China, and the flu in Hong Kong. From the perspective of public health, this disease should be highly valued by medical and veterinary professionals in China.

Transmission route:

It is mainly transmitted through contact with infected animals (such as pigs) or their secretions.

Detection Principle

Antigen antibody reaction: The Nipah virus antigen in the sample binds to the colloidal gold labeled specific antibody to form a complex.

Chromatography migration: The complex migrates with the sample solution on the detection card and binds to the antibody of the detection line (T) for color development.

Quality control line (C): Ensure that the testing process is effective, and if there is no color development, the result is invalid.

The transmission route of Nipah virus

Fruit bats carry virus 1
