Overview

Monel400 stainless steel rod is an alloy that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in fluoric acid and fluorine gas media, as well as in hot concentrated alkaline solutions. It is also resistant to corrosion from neutral solutions, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc. The corrosion resistance of Monel is generally better than that of nickel copper. It is more resistant to the corrosion of reducing media than pure nickel, more resistant to the corrosion of oxidizing media than pure copper, and has excellent corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and carbon. Especially resistant to corrosion by hydrochloric acid, it also has excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated alkali. Monel400 alloy is used in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, fluoric acid, and others

Product Details

Monel400 stainless steel rodThis alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluoric acid and fluorine gas media, as well as excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated alkaline solutions.

Monel400 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, fluoric acid, and their derivatives. At the same time, it has better corrosion resistance than copper based alloys in seawater.

Monel400 stainless steel rodIt is a nickel copper alloy rod mainly composed of nickel and copper, which has excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, and has been widely used in multiple industrial fields. The following is a detailed introduction about:

1、 Chemical composition

Nickel (Ni): about 67%, endows the alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

Copper (Cu): about 30%, forms a solid solution with nickel to enhance the corrosion resistance of the alloy.

Other elements: Contains a small amount of iron, manganese and other elements, used to adjust the properties of the alloy.

2、 Physical performance

Density: 8.8g/cm ³.

Melting point: 1300 ℃.

Mechanical properties: It has good mechanical properties in the range of below zero to 550 ℃, including high tensile strength, yield strength, and ductility.

3、 Corrosion resistance performance

Marine environment: It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in seawater and marine atmosphere, with a corrosion rate of less than 0.025mm/a.

Chemical medium: It has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid, fluorine gas medium, and hot concentrated alkaline solution. Meanwhile, it is resistant to corrosion from neutral solutions, organic compounds, etc.

Acid medium: Corrosion resistant in sulfuric acid with a concentration of less than 85%, it is one of the few materials that can withstand hydrofluoric acid.

High temperature environment: The maximum temperature for continuous operation in an air environment is generally around 600 ℃, and the corrosion rate in high-temperature steam is less than 0.026mm/a. Capable of withstanding corrosion in anhydrous ammonia environments below 585 ℃.

4、 Application Fields

Ocean engineering: used for manufacturing key components such as subsea pipelines and offshore platform supports.

Chemical industry: used for manufacturing acid and alkali resistant reactors, storage tanks, and other equipment.

Electric power industry: used for manufacturing equipment such as boiler pipes and heat exchangers.

Other fields: such as food industry, pharmaceutical industry, etc., used for manufacturing equipment and pipelines that work in corrosive environments.
