1、 General instructions for DC power calibrator
Krohn-HiteModel 523 Precision DC Power CalibratorIt is a highly stable and repeatable DC voltage and current source that provides N.I.S.T. traceable voltage and current for use in production, calibration laboratories, quality assurance and control departments, design laboratories, or anywhere requiring accurate voltage and current sources.
Using Krohn Hite's advanced reference, 523 can provide accurate and stable voltage ranging from ± 10nVdc to ± 110.9999Vdc within ± 4ppm for 90 days (± 8ppm can last for 1 year), and accurate current ranging from ± 10nA to ± 110.9999mA within ± 8ppm for 90 days (± 16ppm can last for 1 year). It has very low noise, with a measured noise of<7 μ Vrms in the bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz (<2 μ Vrms in the bandwidth of 0.1Hz to 10Hz).
523 has a user-friendly 7/2 digit display and all settings can be entered using a membrane keyboard. The output settings can be modified using the add/subtract increment function, multiply/divide function, and cursor control keys. The cursor control keys allow the cursor to be placed on any number to increase or decrease its value. Output 2-wire, 4-wire, and chassis grounding are achieved through a single touch key or GPIB interface bus. When needed, the protection function can place the output in safe mode. 523 can be set to 0V output, allowing output detection to maintain true 4-wire low impedance zero output. Before the range changes, it will also be quickly forced to zero to prevent any "sudden voltage changes".
Automatic Zero Offset Calibration (AZOC) returns any heat generated offset to a specific limit range and can be accessed through the front panel or GPIB interface bus. By using the KH523CAL testing and calibration software program and the HP3458 or Fluke 8508A digital voltmeter, non intrusive calibration can be performed in approximately 15 minutes.
523 provides storage for up to 31 output settings, which can be called at any time. The internal working temperature, serial number, last calibration date, and firmware version can all be displayed on the screen for quick access when needed. Error messages will be displayed when there is an error or when the range is exceeded.
2、 DC power calibrator optional
Model 523 Precision DC Power CalibratorProvides a voltage peak limit (523-11 option), which can limit the output voltage to a user-defined value ranging from 10Vdc to 100Vdc (the defined value can only be in increments of 1V); For example: 11V, 19V, 53V, etc., cannot be 11.2V, 19.5V, etc.)
A 100 Ω precision resistor (PCR100) is also provided, which is a precise and thermally stable 100 Ω resistor used during the current calibration of Model 523.

5、 DC calibrator output
The constant internal operating temperature for the following specifications is 40 ℃± 1 ℃. HP3458A NPLC is set to 100 and runs in automatic calibration cycle (ACAL). The calibration of Model 523 is usually carried out at room temperature of 23 ℃± 1 ℃. The internal calibration temperature is saved during calibration and the current internal temperature can be displayed using the [TEMP] key.
The specifications for 90 days and 1 year are within 24 hours of automatic zero offset calibration (AZOC) cycle, with a constant internal operating temperature of 40 ℃± 1 ℃. The Automatic Zero Offset Calibration (AZOC) cycle considers the impact of internal DC zero drift.
Stable time:<10ms
Linear specification:<± 0.1ppm, relative to a normal linear voltage change of 10%, usually no measurement change.
Load specification for 4-wire operation:<± 0.1ppm, from no load to 100mA full load, usually without measurement changes. Measurements must be taken at the connection point of the sensing lead to the load.
Compliance voltage effect during current output: For a variation of<10nA, for a variation of 100V within the compliance voltage, the output current is<11.11112ma, which is equivalent to an output impedance of>10G Ω; <100na 100v=''>1G Ω output impedance.
Compliance voltage limit: can be set in units of 1V between 1V and 110V. The compliance voltage limit is approximately 15%+0.25V higher than the set limit.
Preheating time for cold start: within 5 ppm of the final value in 1 hour. Achieve rated accuracy and final value within 4 hours.
Peak output current: ± 110mA. The output is protected from damage by a current limiter. Output is not limited to short circuiting to ground.
Calibration: The calibration cycle for Model 523 is 1 year. Provides automatic zero offset calibration (AZOC), which can return any heat generated offset to the recognized limit and can be controlled through the front panel or accessed through the GPIB interface bus.
The Model 523 is designed for "overlay" calibration using the KH523CAL testing and calibration software program (license required). Using KH523CAL software with HP 3458A or Fluke 8508A digital voltmeter can perform almost interference free calibration in approximately 15 minutes. The calibration date and internal temperature are stored in memory and can be displayed on the screen or interacted with through the GPIB interface bus.
Temperature limit for "coverage calibration":
Internal temperature (T Cal): 40 ℃± 1 ℃, controlled by an internal heater.
Environmental temperature (T Amb): 18 ℃ to 28 ℃ to ensure the normal operation of the internal heater. Beyond these conditions, the accuracy significantly decreases.
Protection: Voltage mode, short circuit and overload protection. Current mode, open circuit protection, display information indication; Automatic recovery.

7、 Terminal
The output terminals are installed on the front and rear panels. Only one set of terminals can be used at a time. Both terminal groups are configured for remote sensing output, as shown below:
