The MTS RP series is a profile version displacement sensor in the Temposonics R series, designed specifically for advanced motion control in industrial applications. Here is a detailed introduction:
Working principle: Adopting magnetostrictive technology, it belongs to non-contact measurement, wear and tear, and does not require recalibration and regular maintenance.
Product features
High precision: The nonlinearity can reach ± 0.01% of the full range, and the repeatability can reach ± 0.001% of the full range.
There are various output modes, including analog (voltage, current), digital (SSI), fieldbus (CANbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, etc.), etc.
Multi position measurement: Up to 20 magnets can be used for multi position measurement, and some models such as RP5MA3500M03D561U101 can simultaneously measure up to 30 positions and velocities.
Diagnostic function: The sensor head is equipped with built-in LED indicator lights, which provide feedback on the basic status of the sensor and fault alarms through different lighting states.
High protection level: The aluminum molded shell has a protection level of IP65 and can adapt to harsh industrial environments.

Installation method: The RP series is an aluminum molded shell that can only be installed externally. It can be fixed with movable clips (using M5x20 screws for fixation) or fixed with T-shaped nuts in the bottom groove.
