The MTS sensor RHM series is a high-precision displacement sensor series launched by MTS Corporation in the United States, mainly used for displacement measurement in the field of industrial automation

Working principle: Based on the principle of magnetostriction, there is a waveguide wire inside the sensor. When the current pulse sent by the electronic head passes through the waveguide wire, a circular magnetic field is generated. This magnetic field intersects with the magnetic field generated by the movable magnetic ring wrapped around the waveguide wire. Due to the magnetostriction effect, a strain pulse is generated, which propagates at a fixed speed to both ends of the waveguide wire. The position of the magnetic ring is determined by measuring the propagation time of the pulse, thereby obtaining the displacement.
