Overview

NevadaNano's MPS Ultra Low Power (ULP) combustible gas sensor has been improved based on its fifth generation product, with an average power consumption reduction of 20 times. As an intelligent sensor, it can quickly detect, quantify, and classify various combustible gases and mixed gases, and has the unprecedented TrueLEL ™ Precision, providing industry-leading performance. The sensor has undergone factory calibration and has a service life of over 15 years. It does not require on-site calibration and has built-in environmental compensation and automatic self checking functions to ensure safe operation in case of malfunctions. This sensor is sturdy and durable, with strong resistance to toxicity, and has been certified for intrinsic safety. The sensor readings are output through a digital bus.


working principle

The MPS sensor adopts specialized micro mechanical thin film technology with built-in Joule heater and resistance thermometer. The sensor is installed on the PCB and enclosed in a sturdy casing, in contact with the surrounding air. The presence of combustible gases can cause changes in the thermodynamic properties of air/gas mixtures, which can be measured by sensors. The sensor data is processed by specialized algorithms to report accurate concentrations and classify combustible gases.
