The MAC 52 series is a three-way balanced slide valve pilot valve manufactured by a small, directly operated four-way solenoid valve - disposable valve. A 4-way pilot valve means lower working pressure - no piston - and less resistance to movement. Under no circumstances shall Mac valve products be used for any application or in any way that may endanger the safety of operators or any other personnel or property if Mac valve products fail to operate as expected.

1. Do not operate within the pressure range or temperature range listed on the valve label.

2. The air supply must be clean and dry. Moisture or pollution can affect valves.

Before attempting to repair, adjust, or clean Mac valve products, please refer to the catalog, parts, and operations, or the factory provides appropriate maintenance procedures, lubrication, and cleaning agents. I have never attempted to use the air pressure of the valve for repair or other maintenance.

If using air pipeline lubrication, do not use anything other than the catalog, parts and operation table, or those provided by the factory.

Mac valve products are generally used in industrial pneumatic and/or vacuum systems. They are general industrial products in industrial systems. These products themselves are not dangerous, but they are just a whole system. The system using them must provide sufficient protective measures to prevent personal injury or damage in the event of a malfunction, whether it is a switch, regulator, cylinder, valve or any other component.

The design or purpose of Mac valve products is not to operate and/or control clutch and/or brake systems on power presses. There are specialty products on the market for this purpose.

Two position valve

Some MAC valves are 2-position 4-way valves. When air is supplied to the inlet of these valves, there is always a low path from the inlet to one of the outlets, regardless of which valve position these two outlets are. Therefore, if the compressed air retained in the system poses a danger in the application or maintenance of valves or systems, a separate method must be provided in the system to remove the trapped air.

Three position valve group

The MAC valve is a three position four-way valve. These valves are either dual solenoid valves or dual solenoid remotely controlled pneumatic valves. If either of the two operators is in control, the air supplied to the inlet will be connected to one of the outlets through a valve, such as a 2-position 4-way valve. However, if neither operator controls, the valve will move to the center position.

The following lists various center position functions:

a. Closed heart type

This type of valve, when in the center position, blocks all ports (inlet and exhaust). The air from both outlets has been intercepted. If trapping air in two outlets can cause danger in applications or services, a separate method must be provided in the system to remove trapped air or such valves that should not be used.

b. Open Center

This type of valve, when in the middle position, has a blocked inlet and two blocked outlets that open the valve's exhaust port. If there is no air in both outlets during application or maintenance, this type of valve should not be used.

c. Pressure center

This type of valve has an inlet connected to the valve when in the center position. If pressurized air is introduced into one or both outlets during the application or maintenance of the valve or system, a separate method in the system must be used to eliminate residual air or this type of valve should not be used.
