The MAC 100 series adopts a balanced valve core structure, which is insensitive to changes in intake pressure and can operate stably in the vacuum to medium high pressure range.

The short stroke coil combined with a strong reset spring enables the valve to have high reversing force and extremely fast and consistent response time. It can also maintain long service life and good repeatability in high-frequency operating situations.

The entire series comes standard with a manual mechanism, and the 111B-121JB is a non self locking concave manual operation, which is easy to debug and avoids accidental contact.

The coil adopts MACSOLENOID independently developed by MAC ® Design with burn resistance in communication conditions to improve reliability in harsh industrial environments.

working principle

111B-121JB belongs to the direct acting 3/2-way balanced spool solenoid valve. When the coil is energized, the armature drives the balance valve core directly through the push rod to overcome the spring force and move, making the intake and working ports conductive and the exhaust port closed; After the coil is powered off, the valve core resets in the opposite direction under the action of spring force, and the working port is connected to the exhaust port, while the intake port is cut off. By replacing or rotating the internal functional board, it is possible to switch between multiple functions such as 3/2 normally closed, 3/2 normally open, and 2/2 normally closed, 2/2 normally open, etc., thereby achieving different control functions such as gas supply, exhaust, selection, or diversion on the same valve body.

The MAC 100 series small 3/2 valve is widely used for direct drive of small cylinders, vacuum suction cups, and pneumatic fixtures, and is also commonly used as a pilot valve for large flow 4-way valves (such as the MAC 82 series).

Typical industries include automotive and parts assembly lines, car washing equipment, packaging and filling machinery, electronic manufacturing, rubber and plastic, and general machinery automation, which are particularly suitable for situations that require rapid response, frequent reversing, and multifunctional switching (gas supply/exhaust/diversion/selection).

Selection Recommendation

When selecting, the interface size and installation method should first be confirmed to be 1/8 "NPTF inline installation. If a larger diameter is required, models such as 113B (1/4") of the same series can be considered.

Secondly, based on the system pressure, flow rate, and response time, verify whether 0.18 Cv meets the speed requirements of the executing components; If it is for pure pilot use, it is usually sufficient. If a larger flow rate is required, higher Cv products such as the 200 series should be considered.

The electrical part needs to select the corresponding coil voltage code (220-240 VAC for this model) according to the on-site power supply, and determine whether to use different suffixes such as rectangular plugs, flying wires, or explosion-proof conduit interfaces based on the wiring method.

Finally, based on the cleanliness of the medium and whether it is lubricated, the front-end filter and oil mist device should be reasonably configured to ensure the long-term reliable operation of the valve core.

Installation and precautions

During installation, it is necessary to confirm the correct connection of 1 (intake), 2 (working port), and 3 (exhaust) according to the markings, and connect the necessary muffler or throttle according to the sample diagram.

It is recommended to install the valve body horizontally or vertically in a position without severe vibration to avoid water accumulation when the coil is facing downwards; If in humid or outdoor environments, appropriate levels of connectors and protective covers should be used.

Before wiring, the power supply should be cut off to ensure good contact of the rectangular plug and grounding according to specifications, in order to fully utilize the anti burn characteristics of the coil.

After initial operation and maintenance, it is recommended to confirm the function through non self locking manual buttons to ensure that the function conversion and action direction are consistent with the system design.

The medium should be kept well filtered, and the pre filter and air handling components should be checked regularly to prevent particles and moisture from entering the valve body.

Regularly check the response of the valve according to the operating frequency of the system. If slow action or leakage is found, the machine should be stopped for cleaning or the valve body and seals should be replaced.

For communication coils, the heating and loosening of the wiring terminals and plugs should be checked to avoid weakening the anti burn effect due to poor contact.
