Large unmanned aerial vehicle vibration test benchThe testing method shows that drones are subject to complex vibrations caused by engines, rotors/propellers, and aerodynamic disturbances during flight. These vibrations may cause structural fatigue, component loosening, or performance degradation. Vibration table testing is a key means of simulating and evaluating these effects in the laboratory.
1、 Test purpose
The main purpose is to verify the reliability, durability, and operational stability of the drone structure, internal components (such as flight control, IMU, camera), and connectors under expected vibration environments, with the aim of identifying design defects and improving product quality.
2、 Test preparation
Fixture design: Produce specialized fixtures with high rigidity and light weight to ensure that the excitation of the vibration table is transmitted to the drone without damage, and accurately simulate its actual installation state.
Sensor layout: Attach acceleration sensors to key parts of the drone, such as the base of the arm, the center of the fuselage, and near the flight control mounting seat, to monitor and control vibration response.
Test piece status: During testing, the drone is usually powered on to monitor the real-time performance of its critical systems (such as flight control and image transmission) in a vibrating environment.

3、 Main testing methods
Large unmanned aerial vehicle vibration test benchSinusoidal sweep frequency test:
Purpose: To identify the natural frequencies (resonance points) and modal shapes of unmanned aerial vehicles, and provide a basis for random vibration testing.
Method: Perform continuous scanning from low frequency to high frequency within a set frequency range (such as 5-500Hz) with constant acceleration or displacement. Focus on the frequency points of the resonance peak.
Random vibration test:
Purpose: To simulate the wideband, non periodic real vibration environment experienced by unmanned aerial vehicles during actual flight.
Method: Based on the type of drone (such as multi rotor, fixed wing) and its vibration source characteristics, develop a power spectral density (PSD) curve as the test spectrum. During testing, vibration energy of all frequencies is applied simultaneously, and the duration usually simulates its task profile.
Durability/fatigue testing:
Apply prolonged alternating stress at specific resonance frequencies or based on random vibration spectra to assess the structural fatigue resistance.
