Label antibodies are tools used to 'grab' this additional label.

Label antibody principle:

Constructing a vector: Scientists connect DNA fragments with tag sequences to the gene of the target protein.

Expressed protein: After transcription and translation by cells, a fusion protein of "tag target protein" is produced.

Antibody binding: When a labeled antibody is added, the antigen binding site on the antibody specifically recognizes and binds to the "tag" portion on the fusion protein.

Signal output: Label antibodies are usually conjugated with enzymes, fluorescent dyes, etc. Through colorimetric reactions, luminescence, or fluorescence, researchers can determine the presence, quantity, and location of the target protein.
