Due to the complexity of measurement methods, direct measurement of evapotranspiration ET has not been widely used. The indirect measurement method relies on estimates based on crop coefficients and reference/potential evapotranspiration ETo, which can lead to deviations in the quantification of evapotranspiration ET.

LI-710 evapotranspiration measuring instrumentIt can directly measure the actual evapotranspiration ET of the sample plot without the need for crop coefficients. It is suitable for any relatively flat artificial or natural ecosystem with a uniform underlying surface.
