Generally refers to a type of instrument that does not come into contact with high-temperature objects, but calculates the temperature of the object by measuring its radiant heat and applying the radiation formula.
Due to the fact that it does not require contact with the object being measured, it can be applied to temperature situations, motion heat sources, and temperature measurements of heat sources that cannot be touched or are harmful to the human body and instruments.
Instruments for measuring higher temperatures. The two most important types are optical pyrometers and radiation pyrometers.

In an optical pyrometer, the filament is heated to a calibrated temperature, and compared with the color of the high-temperature object, the filament temperature is adjusted to match the color of the high-temperature object. The temperature of the filament is the temperature of the high-temperature object.
In a radiation pyrometer, radiation from an object is concentrated on a thermoelectric stack, and a corresponding voltage is generated based on the amount of thermal radiation it intercepts. The voltage is then converted to the temperature of the object.
pyrometer
There are two forms of pyrometer:
1) A device for measuring the temperature of a molten pool, comprising: a refractory material installation sleeve and an optical pyrometer;
2) Generally refers to thermometers used for measuring temperatures above 500 ℃. Commonly used pyrometers include optical pyrometer, colorimetric pyrometer, and radiation pyrometer.
In addition, thermocouple thermometers can also be used to measure high temperatures below 3000 ℃. However, since the measurement range of thermocouple thermometers can be as low as -200 ℃, they are generally not classified as pyrometers.
