The optical pyrometer is a hidden wire optical pyrometer.

There are two measurement methods: one is to adjust the resistanceRTo change the brightness of the filament, when it is equal to the brightness of the measured light source image, the filament disappears from the light source image, and the brightness and temperature of the object are read from the electric meter G; Alternatively, the precise value of current can be measured by a potentiometer using compensation method, and then the brightness temperature can be calculated. The latter method is suitable for precise temperature measurement.
The second is to maintain the brightness of the filament at a constant value and rotate an absorbing glass with a thickness that changes with the angle. When the brightness of the object image is the same as the brightness of the filament, the brightness temperature value of the object can be read from the corner of the absorbing glass.
The temperature indication value on the optical pyrometer can be determined using a standard temperature lamp. The standard temperature lamp, as shown in Figure 1b, can reproduce brightness temperatures within the range of 900-2500 ℃ and can also be used as a light source.
The temperature range of 700-3000 ℃ can be measured using a hidden wire optical pyrometer. Replacing the light bulb and the absorbing glass attached to the objective lens can also measure higher temperatures.
