Overview

The LAMBDA thermal conductivity meter is based on the hot wire method and complies with ASTM D7896-19. It is a compact measuring device used to determine the thermal conductivity of (nanoscale) liquids, colloids, and powders. Widely used in laboratories and engineering or fluid development fields around the world. Due to its compact design, the system is suitable for laboratory research and other testing applications.

The thermal conductivity LAMBDA (λ) of solids, fluids, or gases can be essentially understood as the speed at which a certain amount of heat propagates through a specific substance. The lower the value of λ, the lower the thermal conductivity.
For liquids and gases, the value of thermal conductivity λ depends on temperature, while the degree of pressure dependence is relatively low. The unit of measurement for λ is W/(m * K) (watts per meter Kelvin).

Measurement process:
Only a small amount of sample (about 40 milliliters) needs to be loaded into the accompanying stainless steel container and heated to the desired temperature using a thermostat (optional thermostat). According to the settings made, the system can also automatically run temperature curves based on your threshold. The temperature and thermal conductivity of the test liquid will be determined and displayed with a short interval time (approximately every 30 seconds).
