Jilin Province Rubber Low Temperature Brittle Testing Machine
1、 Characteristics and Applications
The rubber low-temperature brittleness tester is used to measure the highest temperature at which rubber samples fail under specified conditions due to impact, which is the brittleness temperature. It can be used to compare and evaluate the performance of non hard plastics and other elastic materials under low-temperature conditions. It is also possible to determine the brittleness temperature and low-temperature performance of vulcanized rubber with different rubber materials or formulations. Therefore, in terms of quality inspection of scientific research materials and their products, as well as control of production processes, they are all excellent.
Jilin Province Rubber Low Temperature Brittle Testing Machine
This instrument is designed to meet both the national standards of GB/T 1682-82 "Determination of Low Temperature Brittle Temperature of Vulcanized Rubber - Single Sample Method" and GB/T 15256-94 "Determination of Low Temperature Brittle Temperature of Vulcanized Rubber - Multiple Sample Method", and all technical indicators meet the requirements of the national standards. In the original design of this instrument, a cold well agitator was added to make the temperature around the container more uniform, decrease the temperature faster, save time, and reduce energy consumption.
This instrument can also meet the requirements of GB/T 5470-2008 "Determination of Impact Brittle Temperature of Plastics", and can perform low-temperature brittleness tests on commonly used plastics, cables, PVC and other materials.
2、 Technical parameters:
1. Test temperature: -80 ℃ -0 ℃
2. Impact velocity: 2m/s ± 0.2m/s
3. After constant temperature, the temperature fluctuation within 3 minutes of the experiment: < ± 0.5 ℃
4. Impact head radius: R1.5 ± 0.1mm (single sample method), R1.6 ± 0.1mm (multi sample method)
5. Distance from the center of the impactor to the lower end of the gripper: 11 ± 0.5mm (single specimen method), 8 ± 0.3mm (multi specimen method)
6. Sample size: Length: 25.0 ± 0.5mm, Width: 6.0 ± 0.5mm, Thickness: 2.0 ± 0.3mm
6. Dimensions: 720 × 700 × 1380
7. Power: 1100W
8. Cold well volume: 7000ml
3、 Usage method
3.1 Connect the power supply, and the temperature controller and timer display lights will turn on.
3.2 Inject freezing medium (usually industrial ethanol) into the cold well, and the injection amount should ensure that the distance from the lower end of the clamp to the liquid level is 75 ± 10mm.
3.3 Vertically clamp the sample onto the gripper. The clamp should not be too tight or too loose to prevent deformation or detachment of the sample.
3.4 Press the gripper to start freezing the sample, and at the same time, activate the timing control switch (or press the stopwatch) for timing. The freezing time for the sample is specified as 3.0 ± 0.5min. During the freezing period of the sample, the temperature fluctuation of the freezing medium shall not exceed ± 1 ℃.
3.5 Lift the lifting gripper and allow the impactor to impact the specimen within half a second.
3.6 Remove the sample and bend it 180 ° in the direction of impact, carefully observing for any damage.
After the sample is impacted (each sample is only allowed to be impacted once), if damage occurs, the temperature of the freezing medium should be increased. Otherwise, the temperature should be lowered and the test should continue.
Through repeated experiments, determine the lowest temperature at which at least two samples remain intact and the highest temperature at which at least one sample fails. If the difference between these two results is no more than 1 ℃, the experiment is considered complete.
4、 Test standards
4.1 Specifications
The length of the sample is 25.0 ± 0.5mm, the width is 6.0 ± 0.5mm, and the thickness is 2.0 ± 0.3mm.
4.2 Requirements
The surface of the sample should be smooth, free of foreign impurities and damage. The finished product should be polished and cut to the corresponding size.
5、 Precautions
5.1. During the experiment, the cooling cycle cannot be cut off, otherwise it will produce a non cooling effect.
5.2 Before the compressor starts cooling, it must be confirmed that it has been filled with alcohol.
5.3. The compressor should be restarted at least 0.5 hours after shutdown, otherwise it may be damaged.
