1. Process flow: Drawing programming, board fixation, laser cutting, edge deburring, size detection, and storage.
2. Key parameters:
-Power: 1000-3000W fiber laser is used for carbon steel/stainless steel, and 3000W or more is required for thick plates (≥ 10mm).
-Speed: Thin plate (≤ 5mm) speed 5-15m/min, thick plate speed 1-5m/min, balancing efficiency and cutting quality.
-Auxiliary gases: oxygen for carbon steel (aiding in cutting), nitrogen for stainless steel/aluminum alloy (preventing oxidation).
3. Advantages: Smooth incision (roughness Ra ≤ 12.5 μ m), high precision (± 0.1mm), no mold dependence, suitable for small batch and multi specification production.
IILaser cutting of flange blanksMaterial selection (classified by scene)
Material type, applicable scenario characteristics, laser cutting adaptability
Q235B carbon steel is suitable for general machinery, construction, and low-pressure pipelines due to its low cost, easy cutting, and moderate strength. The slight oxidation of the cut can be further treated
304 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance in chemical and food industries, with good rust prevention and high strength, and requires nitrogen protection to prevent oxidation
316 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance than 304 in strong corrosion/high temperature scenarios (seawater, chemical industry), higher price, and slightly lower cutting speed than 304
Q345B low-alloy medium and high voltage equipment and engineering machinery have higher strength than Q235, good toughness, and need to be matched with higher laser power
Aluminum alloy lightweight scenarios (aviation, new energy) are light in weight, generally corrosion-resistant, prone to laser reflection, and require high power and special processes
3、 Precautions
Material thickness: The conventional range for laser cutting is 0.5-20mm. For ultra thick plates (>20mm), it is recommended to use plasma or flame cutting instead.
Surface requirements: The rough surface must be free of oil stains and rust, otherwise it will affect the cutting accuracy and cutting quality.
