DELOS adopts a vibration filter function, which uses precise mathematical operations to filter out the jumping caused by machine tool processing after real-time position sampling on the optical ruler, and displays the average position value, making the operator more comfortable in processing while reducing human judgment errors during processing.
11. Nonlinear error correction function: Due to the fact that machine tools or instruments usually require precision machining or measurement, they are limited by the structure of the machine tool or instrument bed, the level of production technology of the bed, and the influence of environmental temperature, humidity, etc., and often cannot meet the requirements of machining or measurement. Therefore, it is necessary to use an optical ruler to improve the accuracy of the grinder to the highest possible limit. Installation of lathe grating rulerSteps as follows

1. preparation

o Ensure that the lathe is in a stopped state and cut off the power supply.

o Prepare the necessary tools: Allen wrench, screwdriver, electrical tape, multimeter, etc.

o Check if the grating ruler and its accessories are intact, including the grating ruler, reading head, connecting wires, etc.1

2. Install grating ruler

o Select the appropriate installation position on the lathe bed and mark the installation position of the grating ruler with a marker pen.

o Use an Allen wrench to remove the screws on the lathe bed and fix the grating ruler on the bed, paying attention to maintaining the straightness of the grating ruler.

o Adjust the position of the grating ruler to be parallel to the guide rail of the lathe and fix it with screws.

o Use electrical tape to fix the connecting wire of the grating ruler on the bed to avoid pulling the wire during operation.

3. Install reading head

o Select a suitable installation position on the headstock of the lathe and fix the reading head with screws.

o Connect the connecting wire of the grating ruler to the reading head to ensure reliable connection.

o Adjust the position of the reading head to be parallel to the grating ruler, and ensure that the distance between the reading head and the grating ruler is appropriate.

4. Debugging and Calibration

o Connect the power, start the lathe, perform preliminary operation, and observe whether the data displayed on the reading head is stable.

o If the reading is unstable, the grating ruler needs to be calibrated. The calibration method includes using a multimeter to measure the output signal of the grating ruler, adjusting the potentiometer inside the reading head to achieve the optimal output signal.

o During the calibration process, pay attention to observing the operating status of the lathe to ensure the synchronization between the grating ruler and the lathe.

5. Complete installation

o After confirming that the grating ruler and reading head are working properly, tighten all screws to ensure that the grating ruler and reading head are securely fixed.

o Check if the connecting wires of the grating ruler are fixed properly to avoid detachment during operation.

o After installation, restart the lathe for trial machining to verify the actual effect of the grating ruler.

Precautions

· The installation position of the grating ruler and reading head should avoid the splashing direction of chips, cutting coolant, and oil to prevent the grating ruler from being dirty or damaged.

· The installation base of the grating ruler cannot be directly installed on rough and uneven machine tools, let alone on machine tools that have been coated with primer. The grating ruler and reading head are installed on two components of the machine tool that move relative to each other.

· After installation, a limit device should be installed on the machine tool guide rail to prevent the sliding ruler from colliding with both ends of the fixed ruler during the machining process, thereby damaging the grating ruler.
