SMAS is a semen analysis device (CASA system) developed and manufactured locally in Japan, created by DITECT Corporation, which specializes in the development of high-speed cameras and image analysis software.
We offer two SMAS systems: one is the clinical version of SMAS for human semen analysis, and the other is SMAS Animal for animal semen analysis.
In addition, to assist relevant institutions in reducing initial investment costs, we have also launched lightweight models SMAS-L and SMAS Animal-L at more cost-effective prices.

1Using Makler counting board, there is no need for continuous consumables during operation.
There are no consumables or maintenance costs, and no additional expenses will be incurred after the equipment is delivered.
2Wide Area Analysis Scope
More than 100 grids on the Makler counting board can be measured, combined with high-resolution camera technology, effectively reducing concentration deviation caused by regional differences.
3Regional blocking function
Manually define the target analysis area, eliminate measurement errors, and improve data accuracy.
4Flagella recognition function
Some semen analyzers may mistake circular cells or impurities of similar size to the head of sperm as sperm. The SMAS system integrates flagella recognition technology and artificial intelligence algorithms (only applicable to human sperm analysis), greatly improving the accuracy of sperm recognition.
5Printing function for historical measurement results
It is convenient to access and print the test results of previous samples for comparison and archiving.

Operation process:
①Enter the information of the examinee
Please enter the semen volume and subject number, and fill in other relevant information fields as needed.
②conduct testing
Similar to the visual counting method, place the counting board under the microscope, adjust the brightness and focal length, and then click the "Start Detection" button.
③Display test results
When conducting multi area measurements according to the WHO observation method, the observation position can be changed and step 2 can be repeated. On the basis of summarizing the initial measurement results, the system will output the total and average values, effectively reducing the errors caused by concentration fluctuations due to semen viscosity.
④Output detection report
The test results will be presented in full dimensions in the form of images, charts, and numerical values. You can compare and analyze them with the lower limit values, median values, and other reference standards listed in the WHO Laboratory Manual.
⑤Can be integrated with clinical information electronic systems (EMR) (* 1)
We can also provide integration solutions with suppliers of assisted reproductive (IVF) management systems and electronic (EMR) systems.
This feature is optional and only applicable to the SMAS human version.


SMAS Animal Measurement History
The SMAS Animal system can set corresponding measurement parameters according to different animal species. By setting six indicators such as brightness and body size, it is possible to flexibly construct exclusive analysis parameters suitable for multiple animals. In addition to the listed species, it can also be extended to evaluate and analyze other species.
