Overview
Imported COD digestion tubes are widely used in municipal and industrial laboratories to measure the concentration of all organic pollutants in wastewater. The concentration of pollutants is determined by measuring the amount of oxygen required to oxidize organic substances in the sample.

Dichromate reactor digestion method
CHEMetrics provides two dichromate reactor digestion methods (USEPA approved method and free mercury method) for rapid, simple, and safe determination of low, medium, and high concentrations of COD. The reagents used in the analysis methods recognized by USEPA contain mercuric sulfate, which is used to remove the interference of chloride. When there is no need to report to USEPA and the interference of chlorides can be ignored, free mercury products that are easier to post-treatment are very suitable.
CHEMetrics' leak proof reagent tubes contain pre measured solutions of sulfuric acid and potassium dichromate. When conducting COD measurement, the operator only needs to unscrew the spiral bottle cap lined with Teflon on the reagent bottle, add the sample into the reagent tube, and cover the cap. Then place the reagent tube into a standard digestion apparatus and heat it at 150 ℃ for 2 hours. After digestion is complete, any photometer that can accommodate a sample cell with a diameter of 16mm can read the measurement results.
