Overview

High temperature and high pressure foam analyzer FOAMSCAN HTMP is an instrument to study the characteristics of liquid foam under the conditions of high temperature and high pressure by generating foam through air blowing. The temperature is up to 120 ℃ and the pressure is up to 8 bar.

Product Details

High temperature and high pressure foam analyzerFOAMSCAN HTMP is an instrument developed and produced by France Teclis to generate foam by air blowing method and study the characteristics of liquid foam under high temperature and high pressure. The temperature is up to 120 ℃ and the pressure is up to 8 bar.

Generation of foam by air blowing method(Air, N ₂, O ₂, CO ₂ .....)

Measure the change of foam volume, liquid volume and liquid fraction with time

Maximum temperature of 120 ℃ (optional heating cycle), maximum pressure of 8bar

Equipped with three walled cylindrical glass tubes for temperature and pressure control and automatic cleaning systems

Equipped with an automatic cleaning system

Equipped with flow meter, flow range 100-5000ml/min

Equipped with CCD camera (USB3, 1440x1080, 238fps), 2.9/8.2mm focal length

Protective cover with two detachable doors

High temperature and high pressure foam analyzerFOAMSCAN HTMP is equipped with a three walled cylindrical glass tube with electrodes:

Control temperature up to 120 ° C and pressure up to 8 bar

The temperature of foam in the measuring tube is monitored by PT100 sensor

Measurement of foam volume, liquid volume and liquid fraction

Three wall glass measuring tube: the outermost jacket is connected to the oil bath, the middle jacket is sealed with squalene, which can not only conduct heat but also protect the round electrode, and the innermost glass tube is used to generate foam

Cannot be used with solvents such as isopropanol, methanol, xylene, benzene, decane, hexane, naphthalene, etc

FOAMSCAN HTMP can also be equipped with a second cylindrical glass measuring tube with a prism, equipped with BubbleStatistics software, to measure bubble size and distribution under atmospheric pressure and temperature conditions up to 90 ℃.

Operating principle:

High temperature foam analyzer FOAMSCAN HTMP generates foam by injecting gas (air, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc.) into liquid through pore glass with controllable flow. At the beginning of the experiment, the foam rose into the cylindrical glass measuring tube, grew in the measuring tube, and then was analyzed by FOAMSCAN software.

FOAMSCAN software:

Control and monitor experimental parameters: gas flow rate, pressure, time

Real time measurement and display: temperature, foam volume (through image analysis) and liquid volume or liquid fraction (through conductivity of electrode)

Calculation: liquid fraction (drainage), foam density/stability, bubble size and distribution analysis (BS option)

Calculation during foam formation: foaming capacity, Bikerman index

Calculation since foaming stopped: foaming capacity, Bikerman index, expansion coefficient, conductivity, maximum density of foam, foam stability index

Data saving (charts and values), calling existing files, and comparing results

Data output (e.g. EXCEL)

FOAMSCAN HTMP is widely used in the following application areas:

Oil and gas

Influence of foam under pressure and temperature

Efficiency of surfactant producing foam under difficult conditions (EOR)

Liquids saturated with gas under pressure: beer, soda water, champagne

Shaving foam and pressurized foam

Oil and gas
