The distance sensor HLS528 is a contactless and compact sensor used to measure the distance between fluids and objects. Due to its functional principle of measuring the transmission time of sound, its resolution and measurement rate are very high. The HLS528 can be used for measuring ranges up to 6000 millimeters and is available in three signal output variants (2 switch outputs; 1 analog output, 4... 20mA or 0... 10V, plus 1 or 2 switch outputs). This sensor can easily adjust two buttons and a self explanatory menu structure. A 3-character digital display is used to show the current distance, while 2 tricolor LEDs display the operating status. The maximum measurement distance for non-contact distance measurement is 6000mm

Distance sensors can be divided into various types based on their working principles, such as optical distance sensors, infrared distance sensors, ultrasonic distance sensors, etc. The distance sensors used on mobile phones are mostly infrared distance sensors, which have an infrared emitting tube and an infrared receiving tube. When the infrared emitted by the emitting tube is received by the receiving tube, it indicates that the distance is close and the screen needs to be turned off to avoid misoperation. When the receiving tube cannot receive the infrared emitted by the emitting tube, it indicates that the distance is far and there is no need to turn off the screen. The working principle of other types of distance sensors is also similar, which determines the distance by the emission and reception of a certain substance, such as ultrasonic waves, light pulses, etc.
