The portable coal quality detector is a specialized instrument developed by our company based on the actual needs of production units, using nuclear technology and microwave technology to measure the ash content, moisture content, and calorific value of coal.
The instrument is portable and can be directly inserted into coal on trains, car carriages, or coal piles to quickly and accurately measure the ash content in coal. The instrument is flexible to use, easy to operate, and convenient to carry Suitable for power plants, docks, coal storage and transportation units, and coal users.
Measurement principle:
There are extremely trace amounts of natural radioactive elements commonly present inside minerals, while radioactive elements in coal mainly exist in ash content, and fixed carbon and volatile matter generally do not contain radioactive elements. The characteristic gamma particle flux emitted by coal has a specific mathematical relationship with the ash content in coal. By using an efficient and highly sensitive gamma particle detector to detect the characteristic flux of characteristic gamma particles, the total ash content is obtained. Combined with the load size, the ash content is calculated, and then combined with a moisture meter to calculate the lower calorific value.
