HAWE balance valve is a valve that plays a role in dynamic and static balance regulation under hydraulic conditions. Balance valves can be divided into three types: static balance valves, dynamic balance valves, and pressure independent balance valves. Static balance valve, also known as balance valve, manual balance valve, digital locking balance valve, double position regulating valve, etc., is a type of valve that adjusts the flow resistance through the valve by changing the clearance (opening) between the valve core and seat, and adjusting the Kv (valve flow capacity) of the valve to achieve the purpose of regulating flow. Its target is the resistance of the system, eliminating the phenomenon of unbalanced resistance in the system, and thus being able to balance and distribute new water according to the designed calculation ratio, with each branch increasing or decreasing proportionally at the same time. Static balance valves can be used in applications such as main pipes, risers, horizontal branch pipes, and end pipes in the system, with the same effect as same pass pipes.


The main principle of HAWE balance valve:

HAWE balance valve is a regulating valve with special digital locking function. It adopts a DC valve body structure and has better equal percentage flow characteristics, which can reasonably distribute flow and effectively solve the problem of uneven temperature in heating (air conditioning) systems. At the same time, it can accurately adjust pressure drop and flow rate to improve the liquid flow state in the pipeline system, achieve liquid balance in the pipeline system, and save energy. The valve is equipped with an opening indicator, an opening locking device, and a pressure measuring small valve for flow measurement. As long as appropriate balance valves are installed in each branch and user inlet, and a dedicated intelligent instrument is used for one-time debugging and locking, the total water volume of the system is controlled within a reasonable range, thus overcoming the unreasonable phenomenon of "large flow, small temperature difference". The balance valve can be installed on both the water supply pipe and the return pipe. Generally, it needs to be installed on the return pipe, especially for high-temperature circuits. For the convenience of debugging, it needs to be installed on the return pipe. The supply (return) pipe with the balance valve installed does not need to have a shut-off valve. Install a balance valve in the pipeline system and adjust it to change the ratio of the characteristic resistance values of the system pipeline, in order to achieve consistency with the design requirements. After the system debugging is qualified, there is no static hydraulic imbalance problem. If a system that has passed debugging is in partial load operation, the flow rate of each branch pipeline regulated by the balance valve will automatically decrease year-on-year when the total flow rate decreases, but the flow ratio set for each branch pipeline remains unchanged.

HAWE balance valve practical application:

When the operation regulation of the system adopts centralized quantity regulation (such as variable speed regulation of water pumps, etc.), balance valves and self operated differential pressure balance valves cannot be used. Because this regulation is achieved by changing the water volume, it changes the hydraulic conditions of the system during regulation. Therefore, if a balance valve is used, it will inevitably cause some valves to work normally, but the system flow rate will be too high (exceeding the flow rate corresponding to the heat load at this time). Some valves cannot meet the flow requirements even when fully opened, and some valves cannot work properly due to the pressure difference at both ends not reaching the starting pressure difference, resulting in chaotic flow distribution. Obviously, centralized regulation of the system cannot be realized due to the existence of the balance valve. At this time, if manual control valve is used, the flow of each branch and user can be increased or decreased in the same proportion when the total flow of the system is increased or decreased, that is, the centralized regulation of the system can be transmitted to each end device. When the operation regulation of the system is quality regulation, balance valves and self operated differential pressure balance valves can be used, because this regulation method only changes the water supply temperature and is independent of the hydraulic conditions of the system, that is, the regulation is transmitted to each user and equipment without changing the hydraulic conditions of the system. By using a balance valve, it can absorb pressure fluctuations in the network and maintain a constant flow rate of the controlled load. The use of a balance valve can absorb pressure fluctuations in the network and overcome internal disturbances (changes in resistance inside the controlled loop) to maintain a constant pressure difference applied to the controlled loop. When the system adopts the quality regulation of changing the flow rate in stages, although the flow rate remains unchanged in each stage. But if a balance valve is used, the control flow or pressure difference needs to be set for each flow stage, which brings great inconvenience to operation and management, so it is not suitable for use.
