The flatness inspection of marble platforms using inspection plates is based on the working surface of the plate as the ideal plane, which is compared with the actual surface being measured to determine the size of the error from the surface.

Product Details

The flatness inspection of marble platforms using inspection plates is based on the working surface of the plate as the ideal plane, which is compared with the actual surface being measured to determine the size of the error from the surface.

The common methods are as follows:

1. Coloring method: Coloring method is used to test flatness by using a flat plate as an ideal plane and coating it with red lead powder. Then, the tested surface is attached to it, and after back and forth grinding, the tested surface is removed to observe the distribution of red lead powder attached to the tested surface. The flatness of the tested surface is judged by the number of (25 × 25) mm coloring points.

When inspecting, the flatness error value of the selected inspection plate must be three to five times higher than the flatness error required by the side, otherwise the inspection result is unreliable.

The advantage of coloring method is that it is simple and easy to operate. The disadvantage is that it can only determine whether the tested surface plane is qualified or not, and cannot measure its specific value.

2. Marking method: Marking method is to place the measured workpiece and indicator on a reference flat plate, that is, to use the reference flat plate as the ideal plane. When measuring, the indicator should be moved point by point or several straight lines against its reference plate to measure the flatness error value of the measured surface.

Marble platforms must be leveled before use, and leveling precision marble platforms generally includes the following points:

1. Place the marble platform flat on the ground, adjust the stability of the four corners by hand, and fine tune the movable feet until stable.

2. Place the marble platform on the bracket and adjust its pivot position as close to the center symmetry as possible.

3. Adjust each foot initially to ensure even force distribution at each pivot point.

4. Using a level measuring instrument, usually a spirit level or electronic level, to check the horizontal condition of the marble platform and fine tune the relevant support points until they meet the horizontal position.

5. After the initial adjustment is qualified, let it stand for 12 hours before copying. If it is unqualified, it needs to be adjusted again. If it is qualified, it can be used.

6. After use, the marble slab is periodically inspected and maintained according to the actual on-site environment.
