Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), as a classic thermal analysis method for thermal effects under controllable program temperature, has been widely used in various fields such as research and development, process optimization, quality control, and failure analysis in materials and chemistry.
By using DSC method, we can study the phase transition of inorganic materials, the melting and crystallization process of polymer materials, the polymorphic phenomenon of drugs, and the solid/liquid phase ratio of foods such as oils and fats.

Application Examples
Measure physical and chemical changes related to heat, such as glass transition temperature and melting point、Melting temperature, crystallization and crystallization heat, heat of phase transition reaction, thermal stability of the product, solidification/crosslinking, oxidation induction period, reaction kinetics, specific heat, etc. Note: The thermal stability test during the oxidation induction period is applicable to the national standard GB/T 17 3 9 1-1 9 9 8.
Instrument Principle
Differential scanning calorimetry is a technique that measures the power difference between a substance and a reference substance as a function of temperature under programmed temperature control. The DSC-500 series differential scanning calorimeter mainly consists of a heating furnace, a main unit, a microvolt amplifier, an A/D converter, a data acquisition system, a gas flow control system, a computer, a printer, and other components, supplemented by the switching of two atmospheres. The measurement results are processed by a computer data processing system.
