It transforms a classic physical constant determination method that is cumbersome to operate, highly dependent on experience, and prone to controversial results into a modern intelligent testing that is fast, objective, accurate, and traceable. Its core value lies in automatically capturing and determining the tiny temperature plateau during crystal phase transition through high-precision temperature measurement and intelligent algorithms, thereby providing crystallization point data.

The instrument strictly follows the physical principles of classical methods, but achieves automation and objectivity throughout the entire testing process. Its core is to monitor the temperature changes during the phase transition process (temperature time curve).

Basic physical process: Pure substances release latent heat of solidification during crystallization, which maintains a constant temperature during the crystallization process (i.e., a "temperature plateau period"), until the temperature continues to decrease after complete solidification. The presence of impurities can disrupt this platform and cause a decrease in the crystallization point.

The workflow of fully automatic instruments:

Automatic injection and pre cooling: The instrument automatically or assisted in inhaling an appropriate amount of ultra dry sample (benzene is highly hygroscopic and must be strictly moisture-proof), and starts the refrigeration system to cool the sample at a standard rate (such as 0.3-0.8 ° C/min) at a constant speed.

Precision temperature monitoring: The high-precision platinum resistance temperature sensor (Pt100, with an accuracy of ± 0.01 ° C) continuously and rapidly collects temperature data of the sample.

Induced crystallization and monitoring:

When the sample temperature approaches the expected crystallization point (such as 5-6 ° C), the instrument will automatically perform slight perturbations (or insert a seed rod) through the built-in mechanical vibrator or stirrer to induce crystallization to begin.

Once crystallization begins, the solidification heat released by the sample will cause the temperature to rise.

Intelligent endpoint judgment:

This is the 'brain' of the instrument. Real time analysis of temperature time curve using software.

It automatically recognizes the inflection point of temperature rise during the process of temperature decrease and accurately identifies the highest point reached by temperature rise (i.e. the starting or highest point of the temperature plateau period).

The temperature corresponding to this point is automatically determined as the crystallization point.
