This instrument, as a CBL-1 pump station flowmeter, was evaluated by the Ministry of Water and Electricity in July 1983. It was unanimously recognized that this instrument is used for flow detection in small and medium-sized single pump stations. It has the advantages of simple installation, easy operation, stable performance, reliable operation, and accuracy that meets the international standard ISO-2548-73 "Flow Measurement" C-level accuracy. After nationwide promotion and use, users unanimously believe that it has the characteristics of low investment and high output. In 1983, he won the fourth prize for scientific and technological progress from the Ministry of Water and Electricity.

Due to the excellent dynamic sealing performance of the instrument's shaft, in irrigation areas irrigated with Yellow River water, the sediment concentration of the water flow can reach 20kg/m3, and the instrument can still work normally.
With slight modifications to the installation structure, this instrument can be used for ship speed measurement and has successfully completed the ship speed measurement task in marine surveys in the South China Sea.
