In response to the demand for obtaining ground sampling distance (GSD) images or simple data acquisition without the need for UAVs, Hiphen has developed the Hiphen LITERAL field portable multispectral phenotype imaging system. The system can measure plant heights up to 3m and integrate various sensors such as RGB and near-infrared, bringing the cost of field phenotype research to a new dimension. This portable multispectral phenotype imaging system is lightweight and powerful, and can integrate multiple phenotype sensors for fast and portable field phenotype research of plants. The system has multiple alternative sensors and comes standard with RGB visible light and near-infrared imaging modules, suitable for extracting and analyzing crop phenotype features in the field. The system is equipped with a dedicated lighting system that provides multiple phenotype parameter outputs, such as biomass, canopy development, plant stress, experimental quality, harvest index, quality, plant diseases, organ quantity, aging, color, etc. The equipment is also equipped with geographic information settings and a user-friendly data acquisition interface for effective phenotype data processing. The system is specifically equipped with adjustable support rods. The battery is designed for shoulder and back, with a working time of up to 10 hours. The battery supplies power to all cameras and collection boxes, ensuring power for all day testing. The phenotype system is also equipped with an RTK positioning system, which measures, plans, and sets through a tablet or computer interface. All sensors are connected to a collection box, which can trigger the camera, store data, and communicate with the tablet. Tablets can define measurement scenarios through a user-friendly graphical interface. Detailed display of sensor configuration, test plan, and measurement quantity in each community for the measurement scenario. Easy to use on-site and ensure correct referencing of each acquired image and metadata. All collected data is compatible with other high-throughput phenotype acquisition devices and can be used for data analysis on cloud data platforms (Cloverfield).
