Overview

The MF300Fm+ferrite content measuring instrument adopts magnetic induction non-destructive testing method to measure the ferrite content in austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel base metal or weld, with a measurement range from 0.1 to 115FN (0.1 to 80.5% Fe).

Product Details

MF300Fm+is a new generation instrument developed by DIVERSE in the UK, which measures the ferrite content of austenitic stainless steel and duplex stainless steel welds based on the principle of magnetic field range. The sturdy ultra-thin probe benefits from a novel magnetic design that provides good coupling with the measured sample. This sensitivity result can well define the good response of samples with a full range of ferrite content. The new software supports calibration of the entire range of secondary ferrite samples according to NIST standards. A series of FN ferrite standard test blocks are provided, allowing users to calibrate and validate the main calibration. Store up to 1000 measurement data. You can choose to communicate with the computer through RS232 or USB, including downloading records or all or part of the database, as well as uploading record IDs. The record structure includes record numbers (0-999), measured ferrite numbers, and record IDs (4 characters, valid characters 0-9, A-Z, and spaces).

2、 MF300Fm+Ferrite Content Measuring Instrument Probe:
1. Large area probe (P10, P10ac)
The large-area probe consists of a ring with a diameter of 10mm, which is set at the tip. For measurement purposes, this ring is in contact with a reasonable planar portion of the object being measured and can be read. The advantage of doing so is to average over a wide area, thereby eliminating the need for statistical analysis. Using an air flow adapter and other internal and calibration changes, the air-cooled probe version allows measurement of high-temperature samples. The air cooling is connected using standard hoses, passing through the sensor and magnetic group, and the exhaust vent is located on the probe side.

2. Small area probe (P10, P10ac)
The P46 small area probe (4 × 6mm) is still pen type, but the sensing area has been greatly reduced. It can be used to measure welds with a width less than 4mm. P46 has a spring-loaded sleeve to make the contact surface smaller. The advantage of the probe is its small sensing area, which is suitable for welding seams and pipelines. The end of the probe should be placed flat with the SUT.
The P46R probe has the same 4 × 6mm probe tip, but is configured to provide right angle sensing. Rectangular shapes facilitate operations in difficult to reach locations, such as inside pipelines.
