analytical method

  • 1. Sample preparation: Take the parts of medical protective equipment that come into contact with the human body and have a relative residual content of EO * * for testing. Cut them into 5mm long fragments (or 10mm2 flakes), take 1.0g and put it into a 20mL headspace bottle. Precisely add 5mL of water and seal it. Equilibrate at 60 ℃± 1 ℃ for 40 minutes.

  • 2. After the equilibrium is completed, the sample is directly injected into the SP-7860 gas chromatograph through the HS-7890 headspace sampler for analysis. The area (or peak height) of epoxyethane is recorded by a computer using a chromatographic workstation, and the corresponding concentration of the sample is calculated based on the standard curve. If the measured sample results are not within the range of the standard curve, the concentration of the standard solution should be changed to create a new standard curve.

  • 3. The use of headspace chromatography for testing residual epoxyethane in medical protective equipment has the advantages of convenience, high precision, and strong selectivity.
